What is our plan for the rest of April?
Something deep and discussion inspiring? Something light and quick? Something full of information?

  1. I will be gone for a couple months... so something long and deep would be fantastic.

But as far as suggestions I am not much help.
    Are we sticking with fiction?

  2. I'm back in Canada, so the book world is more literally at my fingertips. I'm open to basically anything.

  3. Did you ever think that maybe we're the same person - like a polkaroo kind of situation?
One person goes out of the country and the other comes back?

You mean I missed polkaroo again? Aw shucks!

  5. I vote we stick with fiction.

If we want a book that will last more than one month and is both long and deep and raises several interesting issues, then may I suggest Daniel Deronda by George Eliot.

  6. In the light of a couple of suggestions raised by people here (Tyler wants dark... Glynis wants thought-provoking) - I suggest "Darwin's Bastards" - it was mentioned on Q (on CBC.. anyone?) and it sounded interesting. It's a collection of dystopian short stories by a bunch of Canadian authors.

I liked the sound of it.
    Any thoughts?
